Education

2012: MA degree in Semiotics, University of Bologna, cum laude. Dissertation in: Semiotica dei media e dei consumi. Title: Il corpo delle donne. Pomo della discordia dei nostri anni ”. Supervisor: Prof.ssa Giovanna Cosenza; Co-Supervisor: Prof. Costantino Marmo.

2009: BA degree in Communication Sciences, University of Bologna. Dissertation in “Analisi dei testi pubblicitari. Title: Videogiochi e pubblicità: analisi comparativa delle campagne Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3.  Supervisor: prof. Costantino Marmo.

Current PhD research

Search engine 3.0: a semiotic look on semantic web.

Interests

Semiotics, Semantics and Linguistics with particular enphasis on the Semantic Web concepts and technologies. Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing and knowledge represention.

Professional experience

07/2014 - … : Communication Manager and Researcher at FiND, a semantic search-tool project. Our project has been awarded and financed by Telecom Italia for the 2014 Working Capital Accelerator program.

3/2012 - … : University Tutor for the MA degree in Semiotics, Univeristy of Bologna.

2/2013 – 9/2015: Research fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Communication, University of Bologna.  Project title: design, implementation and management of a prototype of a Multimedia Center for Reasearch Resources (CRR-MM).

10/2014 – 11/2014: Lecturer of the Techniques of social media marketing laboratory for students of UFO – Università Fuori Orario at the University of Bologna.

1/2014 – 2/2014: Lecturer of the Social Media Marketing and Communication course for employees of the University of Bologna.

12/2012 – 3/2013: Collaborator in a digital communication project for the Province of Bologna.

Linguistic skills

Italian (native), English (upper-intermediate level), French (basic).

Computer skills

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Open Office and bibliographic research tools; knowledge of the most common Semantic Web tools.
